There are a few known issues with Marketmaker Mobile which are documented below. The majority of these will not affect your trading, but please check them prior to contacting the Helpdesk.
If you are experiencing any problems with Marketmaker Mobile other than those shown, please confirm the firmware on your phone (as shown below)and then contact the Helpdesk.

How to find what Firmware version your mobile phone is using:
Blackberry
Press the Blackberry menu button to go to the ‘Applications window’
Open the ‘Options’ menu and select ‘About’ to see your devices version number. (e.g. 4.2.2.75)
Nokia
From the main calling screen press *#0000#
Samsung
From the main calling screen press *#1234#
Sony-Ericsson
For Symbian-based models (e.g. P800 or P900):
Applications -> Edit - System Information. Then click right arrow twice. Firmware is under "Organiser".
For all other models:
Move the joystick once to the right and then press *
Move the joystick twice to the left and then press *
Move the joystick once to the left and then press *
In the menu that now appears, select " Service information" and then " SW information".
XDA
On the Start Menu: Go into 'Settings' or 'Control Panel'
Go to the 'System' tab
Tap on the Device Information for the ROM version - this is firmware
Known Issues
Any phone supporting Java(tm) "MIDP 2.0" or later, with a full Internet connection will be compatible with MarketMaker Mobile. Contact your vendor or operator for advice on data connections. If you do experience problems, 95% of the time, this will be due to networks not allowing connection.

From time to time we will add new functionality which requires an upgrade to the existing Marketmaker Mobile program. Users should log in normally to their current version and they will be prompted to upgrade Marketmaker Mobile. In the unlikely event of this automated upgrade process failing (if the messages 'Invalid application' or 'Application Failure' appear), please try these two simple remedies to obtain the new version, uninstalling the Marketmaker Mobile program and deleting the browser cache in your phone:

To uninstall, Marketmaker Mobile must not be running. You may also consult with your phone manufacturers instructions for uninstalling Java applications. After uninstalling, repeat the install procedure outlined here.
Blackberry
Navigate to the Options menu in your phone, select Advanced Options. Select Applications. Scroll down to the Marketmaker application and open the Blackberry menu. Select Delete.
Nokia
Navigate to the application in your phone, instead of opening it select 'Options', now select 'Delete'. You may alternatively navigate to your phones 'Application Manager' and delete Marketmaker Mobile from there.
Nokia Communicators
Navigate to: Tools -> Control Panel -> Data Management -> Applications Manager, Select 'Remove' when Marketmaker is highlighted
Samsung
- Open the main menu
- Select Java world
- Scroll down to highlight Marketmaker
- Select Options
- Select Delete
Sony Ericsson
Navigate to the 'File Manager' folder, highlight Marketmaker and select 'More' and 'Delete'
Sony Ericsson P-Series
Select the 'Applications list' (four dots icon), select 'Applications' select 'Uninstall' select Marketmaker.
XDA Variants
Open Programs, open the Midlet Manager, hold down the stylus on the Marketmaker icon, select uninstall.

Mobile phone browsers can maintain a copy of websites visited. As a precaution you should delete your browsers cache in order to ensure installation of the latest version of Marketmaker Mobile from your download site.
Blackberry
Open the Blackberry browser.
Press the menu button and open the Options menu.
Select Cache Operations. Clear the Content Cache.
Nokia
Open the browser, ( a Globe icon, sometimes called 'Services') scroll down the list of options to the 'Delete cache' option.
Nokia Communicators
Open the browser, open the menu, navigate to 'Tools' and 'Clear cache'
Samsung
Open the main menu
Open the browser folder
Select clear cache
Confirm clearing the cache
Sony Ericsson
Navigate to the 'Connectivity' menu, select 'Internet options', select 'Clear cache'
Sony Ericsson P-Series
Open the browser, select 'Edit' -> 'preferences', tap on the 'advanced' tab and select 'Clear Cache'
XDA Variants
Open Internet Explorer, go to 'Tools' -> 'Options', select 'Delete Files' for Temporary Internet Files.
