Zone Alarm
First, right-click on the ZoneAlarm icon in the system tray, in the bottom right-hand corner of your screen.

From the menu that pops up, left click on Restore ZoneAlarm Control Center. A new window will appear.
Click on Program Control in the left hand column.

Click on Programs in the top row of the window.

Now find Marketmaker in the list of programs that appears. There are two components:
- iiAppStart.exe
- iiLauncher.exe
Right click on each of them and click remove.


Now close down the Control Center and run Marketmaker
When Marketmaker is loading a ZoneAlarm window will popup.

Click Remember this setting and Allow. Next another popup will appear. Do the same again.

Your firewall is now configured to allow Marketmaker to connect to the Internet.

Norton Internet Security 2006
First, right-click on the Norton icon in the system tray, at the bottom of your screen.

From the list that appears, left-click on Open Norton Internet Security".
In the main Norton window, left-click on Personal Firewall, then on the Configure button.

This window will appear. Left-click on the Programs tab at the top.

Find any programs with the "M" icon next to them. Select one and click Remove

A popup will appear, click Yes

Now close down the Security Page and open Marketmaker. When loading a Norton popup will appear.
Select Allow Always (recommended) and click OK.

Another popup will appear, do the same.

Your firewall is now configured to allow Marketmaker to connect to the Internet.

Norton Internet Security 2007
First, right-click on the Norton icon in the bottom right of your screen. From the list that appears left-click on open Norton Protection Center.

Select the Norton Internet Security tab > Settings > Personal Firewall > Configure

From this screen, select Program Control on the left hand side.

Find any programs with the "M" icon next to them. Select one and click Remove

A popup will appear. Select yes. Do this for all the "M" icons that you see.

Now close down the Security Page and open Marketmaker. You may receive a Norton popup window. If this is the case simply select Allow Always (recommended) and click OK.
Another popup may appear, do the same.
Your firewall is now configured to allow Marketmaker to connect to the Internet.

Windows Firewall
Open the start menu, and click on "Control Panel".

If your Control Panel looks like the window on the top, click on "Security Center". If it looks like the one on the bottom, double-left click on "Windows Firewall".


If you saw the one on the top previously, click on Switch to Category View in the top left corner.
Click on Window Firewall

The Windows Firewall configuration window will appear. Click on the "Exceptions" tab
In the exceptions page click on "Add Program".

Click on the "Browse" button

Click on "My Computer" in the left hand column.

Double left click on "Local Disk (C:)" (Note that on some computers this will have a different name, but there will always be (C:) after the name.
Double click on "Program Files".

Double click on "Marketmaker".

Double click on "CFD-FX Client"

Double click on "MM5"

Double click on "iiDownloader"

Repeat this process for "iiAppStart" and "iiLauncher"
Once this is done, click on "Add Port..."

Into the "Name" field type "Marketmaker"
Into the "Port" field type "1057"
Click on OK, and then restart your computer.
Your firewall is now configured to allow Marketmaker to connect to the Internet.

McAfee
First, right click on the McAfee icon in the system tray.

Next, choose Open SecurityCenter from the list.

Left click on Personal Firewall in the left hand column of this window.

Left click on View the Internet Applications List

In this window, find any programs that have the "M" icon next to them, right click and select Delete Application Rule.

When a window pops up, select Yes

Now close down the McAfee Security Center and Load Marketmaker. When Marketmaker is loading a popup window from McAfee will pop up similar to the one below.

Click Grant Access. Another popup will appear, do the same for this.

Your firewall is now configured to allow Marketmaker to connect to the Internet.

At the logon screen, please click on "Connection Settings" then change the Distributor Setting to "Alternative" as below:
